A high calcium hydroxide (>41%) paste. This paste has a high concentration of hydroxyl ions, which generate a high pH value of 12.4, giving the paste a powerful bactericidal effect. This paste also has a high concentration of calcium hydroxide, which is long-lasting because the paste can release calcium ions for a long time. Calacept is ready-to-use and applied via syringe through sterilised needles, this is necessary to eliminate the risk of air mixing with the paste and changing its chemical makeup.
